"Hyande" is a dialect word from the Gosen area of Niigata Prefecture meaning "amazing" — the maker's own name for this great-value line. Each 600g bag holds six pre-portioned 100g bundles.
About Yoshiya
Matsudaisoba Yoshiya Co., Ltd. (株式会社松代そば善屋) is a Niigata noodle maker that has produced dried noodles for over 75 years since 1951, working from Matsudai in Tokamachi City. Its three dried-noodle factories hold FSSC22000 international food-safety certification, and it dries its noodles slowly at low temperature (below 32°C) to draw out flavour and firmness. (The "Yoshiya" name comes from its affiliate, Yoshiya Foods Co., Ltd.)

How to use & enjoy
Udon is served two classic ways: hot in a light dashi-based broth (kake udon), or chilled and served with a separate cold dipping sauce (zaru udon). Cooked udon also stir-fries well with vegetables and a protein in a savoury soy-based sauce — yaki udon. Other favourites include kitsune udon (topped with sweet soy-simmered fried tofu) and curry udon (in a curry-spiced broth). It's classically finished with sliced green onion, tempura, kamaboko fish cake, or a sprinkle of shichimi togarashi.
