About Usagimochi
Usagimochi Co., Ltd. (株式会社うさぎもち) is a mochi maker established in 2014, with its head office and factory in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture. Its main products are packaged mochi, kagami mochi and shiratamako.
How to cook — Usagimochi's directions
- Hot plate: heat the plate, then cook for about 6 minutes, turning them over.
- Frying pan: oil the pan and cook over medium-low heat for 5–6 minutes, turning them over.
- Toaster oven: place on the rack and heat for about 2 minutes.
Eat each piece soon after opening its wrapper — the maker notes that mould can grow once it is open. A white powder may rise to the surface of the mochi: it is sugar, not a quality problem.
