What is genmaicha
Genmaicha (玄米茶) is a Japanese green tea combined with roasted brown rice (genmai). The rice adds a warm, nutty, toasty aroma that softens the green tea's grassy notes, for a comforting, mellow cup.
How to brew
Per Senchasou: place about 5 g of leaves in a kyusu (teapot), pour in 300 ml of freshly boiled water, let stand about 30 seconds, then serve.
