About S&B Foods
S&B Foods (エスビー食品株式会社) was founded 1923 by Minejiro Yamazaki in Asakusa, Tokyo. Yamazaki produced Japan's first commercial domestic curry powder — the "Hidori" brand — and the "S&B" mark (combining "Sun" and "Bird") was added to the trademark in 1931. The flagship Red Can Curry Powder launched 1950, the Golden Curry (ゴールデンカレー) roux range followed, and in 1970 S&B pioneered the tube format for wasabi, karashi, and ginger condiments — now a Japanese kitchen staple.
"Ajitsuke" (味付) means "seasoned" — the blend is pre-flavoured so you don't need a separate salt + pepper + umami step. One shake does the work of three.
Flavour profile
