About S&B Foods
S&B Foods (エスビー食品株式会社) was founded 1923 by Minejiro Yamazaki in Asakusa, Tokyo. Yamazaki produced Japan's first commercial domestic curry powder — the "Hidori" brand — and the "S&B" mark (combining "Sun" and "Bird") was added to the trademark in 1931. What is a retort curry pouch?
A retort pouch is a sealed, shelf-stable foil pouch whose contents are fully cooked and sterilised inside the pack, so it needs no refrigeration and no cooking — only reheating.
