About Sanyo Foods
Sanyo Foods (サンヨー食品) is the Japanese manufacturer behind Sapporo Ichiban (サッポロ一番), one of Japan's most-recognised instant noodle brands. Sapporo Ichiban launched in 1966 with the goal of bringing Sapporo's ramen-shop flavours into a home pantry — the range has grown into a portfolio of bag ramen, cup noodles, and yakisoba spanning decades of household familiarity.
What's shio ramen
Shio (塩 / "salt") ramen is one of the three foundational Japanese ramen styles, alongside shoyu (soy) and miso. Clean, aromatic broth — typically chicken or pork stock seasoned primarily with salt — designed to let dashi and aromatic vegetables shine without the colour or weight of soy sauce or miso.
