About Okazaki Bussan
Okazaki Bussan (株式会社岡崎物産) is a Saitama-based dessert maker established in 2005 as the dessert arm of the Sasa Shoten group (株式会社佐々商店), a Japanese food company founded in 1919. It specialises in chilled Japanese cup desserts — anmitsu, kuzukiri, annin dofu, fruit puddings and jellies.
What is kuzukiri
Kuzukiri is a traditional Japanese wagashi — translucent, jelly-like noodles made from kudzu (arrowroot) starch, prized for their cool, slippery texture. They are classically eaten chilled with kuromitsu, a dark Japanese brown-sugar syrup.
