About Okazaki Bussan
Okazaki Bussan (株式会社岡崎物産) is a Saitama-based dessert maker established in 2005 as the dessert arm of the Sasa Shoten group (株式会社佐々商店), a Japanese food company founded in 1919. It specialises in chilled Japanese cup desserts — anmitsu, kuzukiri, annin dofu, fruit puddings and jellies.
What is anmitsu
Anmitsu is a traditional Japanese wagashi dessert built on cubes of kanten (agar jelly, set from seaweed rather than gelatin), typically served with sweet azuki bean paste, fruit and boiled red peas, and finished with kuromitsu — a dark, molasses-like Japanese brown-sugar syrup.
