About Nissin Foods

Nissin Foods (日清食品) was founded 1948 by Momofuku Ando, who invented instant ramen with the launch of Chicken Ramen (チキンラーメン) in 1958 — the world's first instant noodle. In 1971 Nissin launched Cup Noodle (カップヌードル), the world's first cup-style instant noodle. The portfolio includes Cup Noodle, Donbei (どん兵衛) udon and soba, U.F.O. yakisoba, Raoh (ラ王) premium ramen, and Hiyashi Chuka summer ramen. What's tantanmen

Tantanmen (担々麺) is the Japanese adaptation of Sichuan-style dan dan noodles — a sesame-paste-rich, mildly spicy noodle soup with ground pork, chilli oil, and Sichuan pepper. The Japanese version is typically soupier and less numbing than the Chinese original, with a deeper nutty-savoury balance.
