About Nissin Foods

Nissin Foods (日清食品) was founded 1948 by Momofuku Ando, who invented instant ramen with the launch of Chicken Ramen (チキンラーメン) in 1958 — the world's first instant noodle. In 1971 Nissin launched Cup Noodle (カップヌードル), the world's first cup-style instant noodle. The portfolio includes Cup Noodle, Donbei (どん兵衛) udon and soba, U.F.O. yakisoba, Raoh (ラ王) premium ramen, and Hiyashi Chuka summer ramen. The Raou range

Nissin Raou (ラ王) is the brand's premium bag-ramen line — "shop-quality at home." The current renewal uses durum wheat blended into the 3-layer noodle structure for firmness and chew that approaches fresh noodles.
