Gohan Desu Yo! is a seasoned seaweed paste (nori tsukudani) widely enjoyed across generations in Japan. It is made using Japanese-grown green laver (aosa nori), primarily sourced from the Ise–Shima and Mikawa regions of Japan.
Using an “asa-daki” short cooking method, the seaweed is cooked for a shorter time than standard Edo Murasaki to preserve the shape of the aosa leaves. It has a smooth texture with rich seaweed flavor, enhanced by bonito and scallop extracts.
Momoya operates a dedicated seaweed processing facility in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, with thorough foreign material removal processes.
