About Masuya
Masuya Co., Ltd. (株式会社マスヤ) is a rice-cracker maker in Ise City, Mie Prefecture. Its Onigiri Senbei, launched in 1969, is the company's flagship long-seller — the standard, most basic product in the range.
What is "Onigiri Senbei"
"Onigiri Senbei" is a senbei (Japanese rice cracker) shaped like an onigiri — the triangular rice ball — rather than the usual round disc. It is seasoned with soy sauce and made with nori (the dried seaweed used to wrap rice balls), giving it a savoury, soy-and-seaweed flavour.
Ingredients
Non-glutinous rice (from USA and Japan), vegetable oil, soy sauce, sugar, dextrin, nori (seaweed), egg yolk powder, pork extract / processed starch, seasoning (amino acids), emulsifier, antioxidant (vitamin E), paprika colour. (Contains wheat, egg, sesame, soy and pork.)
Allergens
Contains wheat, egg, sesame, soybean and pork. May also contain milk and crustacean (shrimp/crab): the same facility produces milk-containing products, and the nori used is harvested by fishing methods in which shrimp and crab may be mixed in.
