Maruchan Genmai Gohan (玄米ごはん) is a single-serve tray of cooked Japanese brown rice that heats in about two minutes in the microwave. It is made with 100% Japanese-grown brown rice, and Maruchan uses its own process to soften the grain so the rice eats easily rather than heavily — brown rice keeps the bran layer that white rice has polished away, which is where the 2.9g of dietary fibre in each 160g pack comes from. The only thing in the tray is rice.
