Kanpy Nameraka Ryokutō Harusame (なめらか緑豆はるさめ) is a 100 g bag of fine dried glass noodles built on a deliberate two-starch blend: Kato Sangyo mixes 50% mung bean starch, which gives the strands their firm springy bite, with 50% potato starch for a softer mouthfeel. The result is the smooth texture the pack is named for — nameraka means exactly that.

What's harusame
Harusame (はるさめ / 春雨), literally "spring rain", is the Japanese name for fine translucent glass noodles made from starch rather than wheat flour. They come dried as brittle white strands and turn clear and slippery once rehydrated — the name describes how they look in the bowl.
How to use & enjoy
Dried glass noodles are rehydrated before use, and are prized for taking on the flavour of the broth, dressing or seasoning around them while keeping a chewy bite. They go straight into soups and hot pot, where they soak up the broth; they are a staple of cold Japanese-style noodle salads tossed with vegetables in a tangy vinegar dressing, where wakame and cucumber are the classic partners; and they are a common filling ingredient in spring rolls.
