About Kaneshichi
Kaneshichi (かね七株式会社) is a food maker in Mizuhashi, Toyama City, founded in 1884 and incorporated in 1961. It makes niboshi dried sardines, katsuobushi, dashi packs, kombu rolls, instant dashi seasonings and firefly-squid delicacies.
How to use & enjoy
One stick makes about four bowls of miso soup — dashi is the stock miso soup is made with. Kaneshichi also suggests it for simmered dishes and oden, rice bowls, and noodle broths such as udon. The granules are already salted, so adjust any added salt to taste.
