About Kameda Seika
Kameda Seika (亀田製菓株式会社) is a rice-cracker maker in Niigata, founded in 1946 and incorporated in 1957. The company reports a 32.5% share of its home rice-snack market and seven brands that have been selling for more than fifty years, among them Kaki no Tane (亀田の柿の種) and Happy Turn (ハッピーターン).
What "Waza no Kodawari" means
The range name 技のこだ割り is a play on words — kodawari (こだわり) means meticulous craft, and the maker swaps in wari (割り), "to break". Every cracker in the range is a katayaki senbei: baked hard rather than fried, then snapped on purpose so the sauce can soak in through the cut face.
