ICHI Shoyu Honey is the soy-and-honey cracker in Kameda's ICHI range — full-size rounds of puffed Japonica rice, fried and coated in a dark soy glaze sweetened with honey, so the finish is savoury first and sweet behind it. Bigger and crunchier than the bite-size ICHI Mini bags; the 100 g pack holds thirteen individually sealed packets.
About Kameda
Kameda Seika (亀田製菓) is a Niigata rice-cracker maker founded in 1946 and incorporated in 1957, describing itself as a "Rice Innovation Company" and holding roughly a third of Japan's rice-cracker market. The ICHI range is made for Kameda's Asian markets by Thien Ha Kameda, the group's Vietnamese company, which began in 2013 as a joint venture with Thien Ha Corporation and became a consolidated Kameda Seika subsidiary in 2021.
What shoyu means
Shoyu (醤油) is simply the Japanese word for soy sauce — brewed from soybeans and wheat, and the seasoning behind most savoury Japanese rice crackers. Paired with honey it gives the glaze here its sweet-savoury balance rather than a straight salty finish.

Rice, vegetable oil (palm oil), sugar, thickener (1420), soy sauce (wheat, soy bean, salt, water), honey, salt, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate).
