ICHI Mini Spicy is the chilli cracker in Kameda's ICHI range — small, airy rounds of puffed Japonica rice dusted with a sweet chilli seasoning, so the heat arrives behind the sweetness rather than in front of it. The maker's own description calls it "surprisingly crunchy, perfectly sweet and spicy". The 120 g bag holds eight individually sealed packets, so what you don't finish keeps its crunch.
About Kameda
Kameda Seika (亀田製菓) is a Niigata rice-cracker maker founded in 1946 and incorporated in 1957, describing itself as a "Rice Innovation Company" and holding roughly a third of Japan's rice-cracker market. The ICHI range is made for Kameda's Asian markets by Thien Ha Kameda, the group's Vietnamese company, which began in 2013 as a joint venture with Thien Ha Corporation and became a consolidated Kameda Seika subsidiary in 2021.
What ICHI is
ICHI is Kameda's rice-cracker range for markets outside Japan, made from Japonica rice — the short-grain rice Japanese rice crackers are traditionally milled from. The Mini packs are the bite-size format, portioned into small sealed packets inside the bag rather than sold loose.

Rice, vegetable oil (palm oil), refined sugar, soy sauce (soy bean, wheat, salt, water), spicy seasoning (white sugar, edible salt, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), glucose, spices, yeast extract, soy sauce powder, food flavour (spicy flavour), soybean oil, flavour enhancer (disodium 5'-ribonucleotide), acidity regulator (330), sweetener (951), antioxidant (307b)), honey, chilli powder, modified starch (1420), flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate).
The maker's own list on the same pack gives the proportions as Japonica rice 53% and spicy seasoning 1.63%, and names the additives as monosodium glutamate (621), disodium 5'-ribonucleotide (635), citric acid (330), aspartame (951) and vitamin E (307b).
Allergens
Contains wheat, gluten and soy, as declared on the Australian import label. The same label declares phenylalanine — this product is sweetened in part with aspartame, so it is not suitable for people with phenylketonuria.
