Kin Goma Wasabi Dressing (金ごまわさびドレッシング) is Asamurasaki's golden-sesame dressing blended with wasabi — a karakuchi (spicy-hot) dressing whose sharp, nose-tingling heat the maker describes as aimed at grown-up tastes, and built not to grow tiresome. Asamurasaki suggests it on salads and also as a dipping sauce for shabu-shabu. Colour unevenness and some separation of the sesame are normal — shake the bottle well before pouring, and keep it refrigerated once opened. 220 ml.
About Asamurasaki
Asamurasaki Co., Ltd. (株式会社アサムラサキ) was founded in Fukuyama, Hiroshima in 1910 as the soy sauce brewer Fujii Kunigoro Honten, and took the name Asamurasaki (朝紫) after being appointed a purveyor to the Imperial Household in 1923. Working today from Kasaoka in Okayama, it is best known for its kaki shoyu oyster soy sauce, alongside mentsuyu, tare sauces and dressings.
What is goma dressing
Goma (sesame) dressing is a staple of the Japanese table — sesame ground into a thick, opaque dressing that pours nutty and savoury rather than sharp. Kin goma (金ごま) is golden sesame, and wasabi adds a clean heat that rises through the nose rather than burning on the tongue.
