This traditional tsukudani-style condiment features whole domestic sansho berries slowly cooked in soy sauce for a rich, aromatic flavour with a distinctive numbing spice. Commonly used in osechi (Japanese New Year dishes) and as a flavourful accompaniment to rice and seafood.
