Description
This Udon Soup is a powdered soup base that dissolves easily in hot water, allowing you to enjoy a fragrant and flavourful udon broth with ease.
It is made with the umami of Hokkaido-grown kombu kelp and the richness of katsuobushi (bonito flakes), and finished with honjozo light-coloured soy sauce (usukuchi shoyu).
The manufacturer describes it as an authentic Kansai-style udon broth.
Because the dashi flavour is well balanced, it can also be used for a wide variety of dishes, including:
- Clear soup (osuimono)
- Japanese rolled omelette (dashimaki tamago)
- Seasoned rice (takikomi gohan)
- Chawanmushi
