What is yakisoba
Yakisoba is a Japanese stir-fried noodle dish. Wheat noodles are pan-fried with sliced meat or seafood and vegetables such as cabbage, onion and carrot, then tossed through a thick, sweet-savoury Worcestershire-style sauce.
How to use & enjoy
The noodles and sauce are the base — you supply the protein and the vegetables, with cabbage, onion and carrot the usual choices. Yakisoba is traditionally finished with beni shoga (red pickled ginger), aonori (green seaweed flakes) and katsuobushi (bonito flakes).
