House Tokusen Hon Kaori Nama Shoga 40g — coarsely grated fresh ginger in a resealable squeeze tube, ready to use straight from the fridge with no peeling and no grater. House uses ginger chopped at its own factory, and finishes it coarse rather than smooth so the pieces stay perceptible: the pack describes a strong, vivid ginger aroma and a 粗おろし (coarse-grated) texture.
Any black or brown flecks in the tube are part of the raw ginger itself, not a fault. House's instructions are to store the unopened tube away from direct sunlight in a cool place, and once opened to close the cap firmly, keep it refrigerated and use it promptly.

How to use & enjoy
Grated ginger is a defining ingredient in shogayaki, Japanese ginger pork, where it is mixed into a soy, mirin and sake sauce that coats pan-fried pork slices. For hiyayakko — chilled silken tofu — a mound of grated ginger is a classic topping alongside soy sauce and sliced spring onion.
