About Ishibashiya
Ishibashiya (有限会社石橋屋) is a konnyaku maker in Omuta, Fukuoka, founded in 1877 and incorporated in 1992. It makes konnyaku, including hand-stretched konnyaku and konnyaku noodles, for Japanese retailers and for export to the US, Southeast Asia and Europe.
How to use & enjoy
The konnyaku is already pre-treated, so a rinse in water is all it needs before use. It is a common ingredient in oden, goes into simmered dishes, and is glazed with miso to make dengaku.
Ingredients
Konjac flour (grown in Japan), dried konjac potato (grown in Japan), calcium hydroxide (konjac firming agent).
