Fujisawa Ramen no Gu (ラーメンの具) — Dried Ramen Toppings 30 g — a dried topping mix made for one job: tipping straight into a bowl of instant ramen. The maker's own line on the pack is 「インスタントラーメンに入れるだけでOK!」 — just add it to instant ramen — and the pieces soften in the hot broth as it stands. Among the ingredients shown on the pack are corn, carrot and wakegi (a Japanese spring onion). Sold as an "Original Blend" in a resealable zip bag.
About Fujisawa
Fujisawa Shoji Co., Ltd. (株式会社藤沢商事) is a food manufacturer in Kumagaya, Saitama, founded in September 1970. It describes its business as the processing and sale of foods centred on dried and chilled goods, and employs around 500 people.
What "ramen no gu" means
Gu (具) is the Japanese word for the solid ingredients in a dish — the things in the bowl as distinct from the broth. Ramen no gu is therefore simply "the stuff that goes in ramen": in Japan a packet of dried toppings is a common pantry shortcut for turning a plain packet noodle into something closer to a shop bowl, without any chopping or prep.
