Bull-Dog Sauce Co., Ltd. began in 1902 as the food wholesaler Misawa-ya Shoten (三澤屋商店), started making sauce in 1905, and was formally incorporated in 1926; it is headquartered in Nihonbashi Kabutocho, Tokyo. Yakisoba (焼そば) is Japan's stir-fried noodle dish, and yakisoba sauce is the dedicated seasoning it is tossed in — a sweet-savoury brown sauce in the Worcestershire family, thicker and more caramelised than a table sauce so it coats the noodles rather than running off them.
