About Kameda Seika
Kameda Seika (亀田製菓) is Japan's largest rice-cracker maker, founded in 1946 and incorporated in 1957 in Niigata. It describes itself as a "Rice Innovation Company" and holds roughly a third of the Japanese rice-cracker market, with seven brands that have sold for more than fifty years.
What "senbei" is
Senbei (煎餅) are Japanese rice crackers. Most are hard-baked and savoury; Happy Turn belongs to the softer, lighter style, where a delicate cracker is finished with a seasoning powder rather than a soy-sauce glaze.
