About S&B Foods
S&B Foods traces its history to 1923, when founder Minejiro Yamazaki succeeded in making curry powder in Japan and opened the Higashiya store in Asakusa, Tokyo. It makes spices, curry powder, Golden Curry roux and tubed condiments such as wasabi.
How to use & enjoy
S&B suggest it as a seasoning for meat, fish and vegetables, stirred into mayonnaise or dressing for extra flavour, or used in place of pepper, mustard and red chilli. In Japan, curry powder is the spice blend behind curry dishes such as curry rice (karē raisu). Once opened, close the lid tightly and keep the tin somewhere cool and dark to hold its aroma.
